Where is winter?

It’s been pretty quiet around here for the past couple weeks.  We haven’t gotten any snow yet since that one little storm we had a while back, but it is finally starting to get cold.  I’m not sure what’s taking so long though.  When we get to the time of year where it starts getting dark out around 4:30 it should be plenty cold but I haven’t had to wear anything but a fleece outside yet.  Right now it’s 48 degrees.  There’s something wrong with that.

I had my Xbox 360 die on me last week.  It’s pretty much inevitable with those machines for some reason.  They don’t seem to last more than a couple years without the hardware failing.  I went out and bought a new one while that one is in for repair.  I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the old one when it comes back but I would like to put it in the bedroom and use it as a media center.

Laura and I went up to the Mall of America this past Sunday to do some Christmas shopping.  That was the excuse anyway.  I don’t think either of us bought many presents but we did get a few things for ourselves.  It was a good time but we were both very tired by the time we got home.  We probably walked at least a couple miles.

Tomorrow morning we’ll be heading out to Nahma for Thanksgiving.  We’re both looking forward to 5 days off and lots of overeating!

  2. I think they plan on heading to Nahma for New Years so you may run into them if you’re there.
