Winter fun

Laura and me ice skating

Despite our lack of recent posts, we’re still alive and kicking out here in Rochester! We’ve both been keeping busy working and doing our share of fun things. Today we went ice skating at the indoor rink nearby with our friends Dave and Christine. It was a lot of fun (and no one fell!). The only downside of the trip was the fact that it was “open skate” so all the little kids came out of the woodwork to skate. It was more like dodge the children than skate. I think we’ll have to plan our next trip during “adult open-skating.” ;)

We’re looking forward to planning a trip up to the cities some weekend in February. We just thought it would be fun to get a hotel room and spend the weekend sightseeing, shopping, etc. There’s a hotel we’re looking at which supposedly has the biggest indoor water park in America as well as a 5800 sq. ft. arcade, two restaurants, a spa, and a cafe. Sounds like a dream vacation to me!

Other than that, not much new is happening here. I’ve finally picked up enough clients/shifts at work that I’m considered “full time” now which is nice. Justin’s doing well with work also. He’s wrapping up work on one project and starting work on another. It should be a busy year for both of us. We still seem to find time for video games though. :)

Check out a few pictures from our ice skating adventure here.

  1. Nice looking coat, Laura!!

  2. There’s a roller skating rink in IM now (actually it’s in the old roller rink building), so next time you’re here we’ll have to hit it up! Pretty funny. I think Dayna’s been there so we’ll have to ask her how it is.

  3. Yeah, I remember Dayna mentioning that when we visited for Christmas. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun!

Hope the ski jumps thing was fun today. :)
